Taking Over the World

In order to take over the world for Jesus, Christians must have a vision, a plan, and take action. Each Christian needs a personal vision. Next, he must obey the "great commission," which is a plan to taking over the world. Next, we must have the power from the Holy Spirit to take action.
Have a Vision
The first step to take over the world is for Christians to have a vision. Prov. 29:18 says, "where there is no vision, the people perish." Bob Weiner's vision is to establish a New Testament church on every college campus in the world. It's not enough to just have a vision, because a VISION ‑ a PLAN ‑ ACTION is a DREAM. However, a VISION + a PLAN + ACTION is REALITY. We have to have a vision. Bob Weiner is believing to win one billion souls to Christ through Maranatha before Jesus returns. "You got to have a vision. You got to know where you are going. You got to see in the spirit and by faith where you are going. 'Without a vision, My people perish.' Most peoples' vision in the Charismatic movement is 'well, Jesus is coming tomorrow, and I'm just holding on till He comes.' Folks, we're not holding on until He comes. We're going to kick in the gates of hell and see the whole earth filled with the glory of God and the gospel of the kingdom preached to every nation and then the end will come. Amen. Give the Lord a shout and come alive. Amen. Praise God. Every knee is going to bow and every tongue is going to confess that Jesus is Lord, and they're going to have an opportunity either on this side of heaven or they're going to do it on the judgment day. There is going to be revival and there is going to be an outpouring of the Holy Spirit. I'm not holding on until then end: I'm pressing on and kicking in the gates of hell. Amen. It is so exciting to be a part of the victory."
"God will hear your prayer, and He will give you the power to get the job done if you will just get a vision. I had a vision to take my city for Jesus Christ. I got a vision to turn Chicago upside down for the Lord... If God tells you to do something and you do it‑‑that's faith. It wasn't my good idea. That's presumption if I just had a good idea and I ask God to come through... One plus God makes a majority. It doesn't matter who you are. What matters is Who you know. If you know Jesus and you know the power of the Holy Spirit in your life, then you can do anything. There is nothing impossible. All things are possible to those who believe," according to the Bible.
We need to realize that God has said in Num. 14:21, "Indeed, as long as I live, all the earth shall be filled with the glory of the Lord." The greatest revival that the world has ever seen will come soon like a tidal wave. It will come for those who are doing the Word of God and for those who have a fear of God and are living in holiness. "Revival is not coming for the apathetic or for the lethargic, but is coming for those who are seeking the Lord and crying out for the Lord and hungering and thirsting after the Lord and moving in faith now. Amen." We must diligently do the work of the Lord. Some people think that they can live as they please and then when Jesus comes back, they will be "cleaned up." However, "only your body is going to be changed when you go to heaven. The Bible says that He is changing us from one degree of glory to another. Whatever degree you have been changed and perfected on the earth is how you are going. You'll get a reward according to your deeds on the earth" (Rev. 22:12). Matt. 24:14 says that "this gospel shall be preached in the whole world for a witness to all the nations, and then the end shall come."
Success comes to people when they obey God in the little things that He personally speaks to them. We got to have a vision, and we need to hear the word of the Lord and do it. We need to be willing to "get out of the boat and walk on the water." Some people laugh at Peter for getting out and sinking, but Peter was the only disciple that ever walked on the water. "Winners don't give up, they get up. Amen. The reason why most of you have never done anything successful is because you did not have the guts to try and to be willing to take a risk and fail. Amen. I'm willing to take all sorts of risks. As I have researched revival, I found out that the greatest key to revival is not only the fear of the Lord and holiness, but there is another key that is the most amazing key. Every great revival had someone to take a risk to do something very unusual. And when they did that thing that was very unusual, God gave them a revival‑‑it's called risk. We got to get out there and take that step of faith, and then God will give us that mighty outpouring of His Spirit."
We need to use the gifts of the spirit when witnessing to sinners. We need to walk in signs and wonders‑‑using the word of knowledge, word of wisdom, discerning of spirits, etc. We need to get a vision and start to obey the Lord. "The gifts are not only for the church, but for the world to get them free."
Jesus rendered Satan powerless. Jesus gave all power to the church. However, Satan is winning on the earth because "Christians are apathetic and pathetic and lethargic and they haven't taken their dominion. They haven't walked by faith, and their sitting there waiting for someone else to rescue this world, when God says, 'I'm looking for a man and a woman to stand in the gap' and say, 'I will be that man, I will be that woman that will kick in the gates of hell.'" We need to put action to our faith. Jesus is going to use people to save the world.
"You got to get a vision for your own life. You say 'bless God, if there is nobody else in this whole world, I'm going to stand in the gap. I don't care if it costs me my life. I don't care what it costs me. I'm going to follow the lamb wherever he goes. I'm going to do everything that He wants. I'm going to love Him with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength. I'm going to hate sin. I'm going to love holiness, and I'm going to lay my life down to see this world set free for Jesus.' You got to have a vision, like its got to BURN in you! Amen. If you don't have things that burn in you, nobody is going to listen to you. Amen. When I get up and speak on the university campus, the whole student body stops and listens, why? Because I got some convictions in my heart, and when I speak, I'm speaking from my heart. I'm not speaking from theory or intellectual knowledge. I'm speaking from the Spirit of the living God, and they feel that Spirit and they know that there is something being said that they need to listen to. Amen. You need to get some convictions. Do you hate pornography?... Do you hate abortion?... Hate it! and you will see God use you. Amen. You got to hate sin. You got to hate unrighteousness. It cost God His only begotten Son."
Is. 60:1‑3 says "Arise shine; for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you... And nations will come to your light." In Maranatha, we have an international student vision. We can reach the world by reaching out and loving the 400,000 internationals attending U.S. colleges. Thirty countries have closed their doors to western missionaries, but these countries are sending thousands to America. Bob Weiner's goal is to reach 5% of the international students every year and to win, build, and send them back to their countries to establish the kingdom of God. A total of seven million internationals reside in America. "The greatest missionary vision you can have is to reach internationals and send them back to their own countries." These missionaries already know their country's language, have a visa, and have the credibility to evangelize their nations'.
Obey the Great Commission
God has given all of us the great commission‑‑to "GO and make disciples of all the nations" (Matt. 28:19). We need to get a passport. "God says 'go'. Everyone of us should be planning, not only to take our own community, but then we should be reaching out to missions and reaching out to the world... Why should anyone hear the Gospel twice before everybody has heard the Gospel once?"
Jesus said to go and disciple the nations. "Discipleing the nations is not just getting people saved... It isn't any good that thousands of people are getting saved in Guatamala if they still have poverty, if they still have no education‑‑they can't read, they can't write. They've got all kinds of disease. Is that the kingdom of God?... We need to get the kingdom of God operating in their country. What is the kingdom of God? It is righteousness, peace, and joy: Righteous government, righteous education, righteous art, righteous science, righteous everything, righteous military. And we teach them how to do it."
Luke 19:10 says, "The Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost." The heart of God is to seek and to save the lost. If Jesus is in our hearts', then we should want to seek and to save the lost. We need to avoid foolish speculation and foolish theology if it takes away time from winning souls. We need to concentrate on winning lost souls rather than having our theology perfected. We need to "win them, build them, and send them into the world." 1 Tim 1:15 says that "Jesus came into the world to save sinners." "We need to get the heart of God." We need to be able to weep over the university students, the young people, and all the lost souls. "When you have that compassion you'll start to see miracles and signs and wonders and you'll start to see souls saved."
Another benefit of obeying the great commission is that we can determine what our ministry is. 2 Tim 4:5 says, "be sober in all things, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, [and you will] fulfill your ministry." As a result of winning people to the Lord and following them up, we can determine our gifts and strengths which may strongly indicate our area of ministry. Once we know what our ministry is, then we can work towards fulfilling it. We are all called to do the work of an evangelist. Let's take a situation where a person has just won several people to the Lord. Suppose, in his follow up, every five minutes, he is proclaiming to the disciples, "thus saith the Lord God, 'you shall go forth with power and glory.'" He probably has a prophetic ministry. Next, suppose another person is following up his disciples and he is caring for them and loving them and helping them. He has a precious father's heart. He is probably going to be a pastor. Next, take a person who says to his disciples, "point one 'A', point 2...", and he is so exact in everything. He probably is a teacher. Next, take a person who proclaims to his disciples, "hey, let's go out and take the world. Let's turn the world upside down for Jesus. Half the world has never heard the name of Jesus. We've got to reach them before it's too late." He has an apostolic anointing, possibly setting up churches. "You will never have a great ministry until you start winning people to Christ."
Furthermore, "there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents" (Luke 15:10). The Lord does not wish any to perish, but all to come to repentance" (2 Pet. 3:9). God will use us in reaching sinners.
Receive the Power of the Holy Ghost
After the Holy Spirit comes upon us, we receive power (Acts. 1:8). 1 Cor. 2:4 says that Paul's messages "were not in persuasive words of wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power." "The evidence of the baptism of the Holy Ghost is power." If we don't have power and have fear, doubt, and unbelief, in our lives', then we may not have really been filled with the Holy Spirit. However, if we have been filled by the Holy Spirit, but we don't see the full manifestation of power, then we can do two things. First, we must "get out of the boat and start walking out there on the limb. The best fruit is always on the limb." Second, "pray for boldness... Boldness stirs up faith‑‑It stirs up the anointing; It stirs up the power of the Holy Ghost; It gives you that might" (Acts 4:31?). "The power of God operates when you get out of the boat and you start to get out on the limb where it is dangerous." Power comes when you obey God. You have to be sensitive and obedient in the little things.
